Chief
Petty Officer Henry Peglar was the Captain of the Foretop on HMS Terror
which disappeared in 1848 on the Franklin expedition to the North-west Passage.
His papers were found amongst a great heap of wreckage scattered about two
longboats abandoned on the ice. |
